Three men have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed and a boy wounded at a fishing pond in Staffordshire.

Police said they were called to Hales Hall Fishing Pool in Cheadle just after 17:00 BST on Sunday, to reports the 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed.

The teenager was stabbed in the neck and back and the boy had a cut to his fingers, officers said.

They added one of the pair who was attacked remained in hospital.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 20-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent as well as a 19-year-old and 30-year-old, both of no fixed address.

All three were held on suspicion of wounding and questioned in custody.

Anyone with information was urged to contact Staffordshire Police.
