A child has suffered serious injuries in a collision involving a car on a busy main road in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the scene on the A647 Stanningley Bypass, near Richardshaw Lane, at about 15:50 GMT on Thursday.
A young boy, believed to be a pedestrian, needed hospital treatment as a result of the collision, a force spokesperson said.
The road was closed for several hours while investigations into the circumstances of the crash were investigated and police said on Friday that inquiries were continuing.
