A woman has been found guilty of intentionally wounding her boyfriend after "plunging" a kitchen knife into his stomach during an argument.

A trial at Bradford Crown Court heard how Courtney Mulchrone, 27, attacked her partner Jordan Minnott, 32, at Dobrudden Caravan Park in Baildon in May.

Mulchrone had denied wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm but was convicted by a jury on Tuesday. She was found not guilty of possessing a bladed article in a public place.

Mulchrone, of Quarry Place, Bradford, will be sentenced at the same court on 3 April.

She had previously pleaded guilty to destroying or damaging property, damage unknown.

During the trial, Mr Minnott told jurors how the couple had been on a night out in Leeds where Mulchrone had tried to make him jealous by speaking to other men.

Mr Minnott said when he did not intervene, she slapped him in the face.

On his way home, he said Mulchrone then called him repeatedly, threatened him and then later rang to say she was going to take her own life.

Mr Minnott then got a taxi to the caravan park where she was living at the time and found her kicking his car, which he had left there, when he arrived.

The argument escalated and Mr Minnott later told police he saw a knife come "out of nowhere" and "plunge" into him.

Mr Minnott said Mulchrone "left me for dead" on the floor.

Jurors deliberated for six hours and 55 minutes before finding her guilty of Section 18 wounding with intent and not guilty of possessing a knife in a public place.
