BBC London's 'picture of the day' 2024 favourites

The "picture of the day" on BBC London's Facebook and Instagram pages is one of our most popular features with followers.

While it sometimes highlights a topical news story or event, most of the time it's just a chance to show off a view or quirk of London that people don't often get to see.

We've gone back to find some of our favourite posts of 2024 and reshare them as the year comes to an end.

Somewhere over the rainbow
