Man who died in crash had 'massive heart'

The family of a man who died after a crash said he had a "massive heart".

Steven Barry Ellis, 56, from Wrexham, died on Sunday after the emergency services were called to A534 Wrexham Road in Holt, Wrexham, at 19:09 GMT on Sunday.

Two pedestrians, a car and a lorry were involved.

Mr Ellis' brother and sister, Wayne and Debra Ellis, both from Wrexham, said: "Steven had struggled for many years with addiction issues and had some success with rehabilitating his life until very recently.

It happened on the A534 Wrexham Road in Holt, near the Holt Lodge

"Steven had a massive heart and would be missed by everyone that knew him."

The crash happened near the Holt Lodge Inn.

Mr Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
