Residents invited to question West Midlands mayor

Wolverhampton residents are being invited to question the mayor of the West Midlands this month.
Richard Parker, who is also chair of West Midlands Combined Authority, is asking city residents to probe his policies and priorities for the year.
The "Ask the Mayor Anything" event will take place at The Community Hub at the Mander Centre, Wolverhampton, on 29 April from 18:00 to 19:00 BST.
Mr Parker said even though he had already set out his priorities for the region, it was important to listen to what mattered most to residents.
The Labour mayor said: "I'm looking forward to talking to the people of Wolverhampton about how we're delivering more social homes, improving bus services, and tackling youth unemployment head on.
"I also want to understand the community's concerns, answer their questions, and make sure their views help shape the work we do."
Places for the event are free but residents are being encouraged to book using the online platform Eventbrite to guarantee their place.
