Man arrested after car crashes into house

A man has been arrested after a car hit a house on a residential village street.
Cheshire Constabulary said it was called to reports of a collision on Trevithick Place, Willaston, near Nantwich, shortly after 16:00 GMT on Sunday.
The force said officers found a black Volvo XC90 had collided with a red Vauxhall Astra which had then hit the house, damaging it.
The driver of the Volvo, a 53-year-old man, fled the scene before later being arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life, drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of accident.
He was also arrested on suspicion of stalking and controlling and coercive behaviour.
Nobody was believed to be injured in the crash.
