Bus operator announces changes to city routes
A bus provider has announced changes to five of its routes in Derby in the new year.
Arriva said it would be extending and changing its 1A, 1B and 1C services for Derby, Alvaston and Boulton Moor, as well as its 2 and 2A services for Derby, Melbourne, Swadlincote and Chellaston.
The operator said the extended routes would "help keep buses running on time".
The changes are set to be introduced from Saturday.
Arriva said Route 1B would be extended along Snelsmoor Lane to Fellow Lands Way following feedback from customers.
There will also be some "minor changes" to the 1A and 1C timetable during the morning and evening peak hours to keep buses on time, the company added, though details of these changes have yet to be released.
Arriva said it was working with Derbyshire County Council to introduce buses that go to the Chellaston Fields development on the 2 and 2A services that run from Derby to Melbourne and Swadlincote or Chellaston.
This means some journeys that start and finish at Chellaston Academy, in Swarkestone Road, will now extend to Riber Drive, near the Chellaston Fields development.
