A couple who work together to deliver parcels in a town have won its annual neighbour of the year award.

Bogdan Bacinschi has been delivering parcels for company Evri in the south of Wiltshire since 2019, and has been recognised for helping out with the people of Tidworth.

He and his wife Louise were awarded the title at the 2025 Tidworth Community Awards.

Mr Bacinschi told BBC Radio Wiltshire: "I've always been trying to help people, it's just me. If you help someone, one day they'll remember."

Mr Bacinschi, 40, won the prize in 2019 and 2020, and also helps people with removals.

"They [locals] do love me indeed, they say that," he said.

"I deliver with a smile, always cheerful, always chatty. I always stop and say hello, I always say to people 'how are you?'. I'm always out and about."

Tidworth Town Council said it had received nearly 50 nominations across six categories.

According to nominations, Bogdan and Louise "look out and help anyone who needs it in a neighbourly fashion" and "go above and beyond for the community".

A spokesperson for Tidworth Town Council said: "They are well known and respected throughout the Tidworth community and it certainly shows from the kind words we received.

"Bogdan always has a huge smile on his face, he interacts and communicates with all and greets everyone like they are old friends, which is sadly becoming a rarity."
