Man dies in crash between car and van
Getty ImagesA man has died following a crash between a van and a car, Surrey Police has said.
The force said they were called to Smithwood Common Road in Cranleigh shortly after 09:00 BST.
The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, police added. The road remains closed.
Police appealed with anyone with information to come forward.
They are "particularly interested in tracing the movements" and manner of driving of a black Audi prior to the collision, they said.
Anyone with footage of the incident has been encouraged to share it with Surrey Police.
