Jersey FA launches grants up to £2,500 for clubs
The Jersey Football Association (JFA) is offering grants of up to £2,500 to local grassroots football clubs.
The new club impact fund aimed to help clubs have the resources they needed, organisers said.
The one-off grants were for projects such as improving facilities, encouraging women and girls to play the sport, developing a network of volunteers and improving opportunities or tackling poor behaviour, they added.
JFA CEO Tim Pryor said: "The launch of this scheme underscores our dedication to the growth and sustainability of football in Jersey."
Match-funding needed
He added: "We want to empower and support our clubs to get moving on their projects that'll, in turn, benefit the game."
The fund was for schemes which fitted with Jersey FA's business strategies for the year, organisers said.
Clubs had to match-fund any grant they received and invest at least as much money as they were awarded in their project if they were successful, they added.
They had to be affiliated to the JFA and have completed their England Football Accreditation application for this season, they also said.
Clubs with 1* accreditation can access up to £1,000 funding and 2* rated clubs can apply for a maximum of £2,500 each.
They must apply by the end of February.
