Fire rips through roof of industrial building

A blaze at an industrial unit, which burned through the roof of the building, led to overnight closures of roads in Leicester.
More than a dozen fire crews were called Coleman Road at about18:30 BST on Good Friday.
A cordon was set up in Tithe Street behind the building, to enable the crews to tackle the fire, and members of the public were advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to the amount of smoke in the area.
A number of road closures were in place and Coleman Road remained inaccessible to traffic until around 8:00 BST on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue said they had sent "10 fire appliances, an aerial ladder and turntable ladder platform" and "several other special support appliances" to the scene.
The industrial building is listed as home to a company that has gone into liquidation.
