A motorcyclist in his 30s has died in a collision with a car in the Forest of Dean.

The man, from Cinderford, was treated at the scene but died from his injuries, Gloucestershire Police said.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a BMW on a road between B4226 Speech House Road and Fancy Road in Coleford at 12:05 BST on Monday.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution.

Roads that were closed outside the Speech House Hotel for investigation work have since reopened.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to get in touch.
