Car abandoned after New Year's crash

Devon and Cornwall Police said inquiries were ongoing after a crash involving a car and a building on Wednesday in Bodmin

An appeal has been launched after a crash crashed into a building in Bodmin on Wednesday morning, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was believed two people left the scene before officers arrived on Church Square at about 05:40 GMT on New Year's Day.

Police and fire officers responded to the incident.

The force added a car was recovered and inquiries were ongoing to identify the two people.

A police spokesperson added: "If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police."
