Detectives investigate unexplained death of a man

The death of a man in his 30s in Stoke-on-Trent is being treated by police as unexplained.

They said officers were called at 08.15 GMT on Monday to a house on Swaythling Grove in Bentilee.

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were treating the man, who was suffering a cardiac arrest, but nothing could be done to save him.

The Midlands Air Ambulance was also at the scene, with a cordon put in place while detectives carried out inquiries.

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact Staffordshire Police.
