Tributes to Wolves fans during match

Tributes will be paid to Wolves fans who have died over the past year during the club's match against Tottenham Hotspur.

More than 200 friends and family members will appear on the Molineux's screens at half-time and in Sunday's matchday programme.

Among those being remembered is Steve Plant, who died from a heart attack last year and raised thousands of pounds for charity.

The popular fan was known for collecting Wolves memorabilia, converting his garage into a museum and described by the club as "one of our own".

Football coach Chris Gill, who died aged 56 from a cardiac arrest, will also be remembered during the game.

Mr Gill's wife Sharon and son Harry raised more than £4,700 for defibrillators after they were told by medics he may have survived if life-saving equipment was available nearby.

Wolves advised that those who wished to watch the montage video should remain in their seats during half-time.

"This memorial is a way for the club and fans to remember and celebrate the lives of members of the Wolves family who are no longer with us," a spokesperson for the club said.
