A six-month-old boy is in a critical condition after he was injured in a crash between two cars in Leeds at the weekend.

The baby was one of three people taken to hospital after a black Suzuki Alto and a grey Nissan Qashqai collided on Great North Road, Garforth, at about midday on Saturday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened at the Aberford Road junction, was asked to contact police.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The collision is being investigated by the roads policing unit and anyone who witnessed it, or the movements of either vehicle prior to it, is asked to get in touch."
