Residents asked about council land in park plans

Residents in part of Surrey are being asked for their thoughts on council land being included in development plans for a new technology park.
Elmbridge Borough Council said the sale of Hersham Technology Park had created the opportunity to engage with local residents on the matter.
Although potential benefits are subject to discussions with infrastructure partners, the authority said they could include relocating GP and library services closer to the heart of the village.
"We don't want to commit to this option without first engaging with and listening to Hersham residents and businesses", the council said.
A survey is available to complete online and paper copies will be available at Hersham Centre for the Community from Monday. A drop-in session is also being held at WI Hall on 26 April.
The consultation ends on 1 May.
