Community centre celebrates 20th anniversary

An East Yorkshire community centre is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Southern Holderness Resource Centre in Withernsea, known as Shores, offers a range of services, including running a food bank and providing training in digital skills.
Chief executive Jayne Nendick described the past 20 years as an "amazing journey".
"This anniversary is not just a celebration of our achievements, but also a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way," she said.
Ms Nendick added that the community faced ongoing problems.
"The cost of living crisis is still rolling on," she said.
"I know that there's going to be challenges for the availability of funding for especially small social groups, so it's how can we think ahead and help those.
"We're in it together, it's work together, support each other.
"That is the strength of this town."

Ms Nendick said the centre's latest initiative to hand out winter packs, including heated gilets, had generated an "overwhelming response".
She said they had so far distributed 150 packs, with more people on a waiting list.
"Many older people struggled with heating costs," she said.
"It not only helped them save on heating, but also get out and about.
"I've met so many people in the town who said, 'I can go out as I'm not afraid of getting cold'."
