Woman sprayed with 'acidic' liquid from water gun

A women suffered minor eye injuries after being sprayed with a substance believed to be acidic, police said.

The incident happened outside a school in Woods Avenue, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, at about 16:20 BST on 27 June.

Hertfordshire Police said the woman in her 40s was targeted by someone using a water pistol while driving a car.

"I'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that may help our ongoing inquiries," PC Aimee Smith said.
