Gloucestershire in Pictures: Keeping it cool

It's felt more like summer than spring this week in Gloucestershire, with dry days and clear skies at night.
People have been capturing beautiful blooms and there have been many spots attracting sunbathers.
Some Gloucester Rugby players were also turning the temperature down with cold showers.

Bluebell season is here: This week we've seen a significant increase in beautiful photo's of bluebells. Gloucestershire is now full in various patches of bluebells - and Cam Peak appears to be a hotspot for them.

Taking a dip: Cheltenham Lido was, perhaps not surprisingly, one of the popular spots for people to head to for a swim on Thursday as temperatures soared.

May Day: What a sunrise! Annie captured this moment at Rodborough Common on Thursday as morris dancers celebrated the arrival of May in the traditional way.

That looks cold! Gloucester Rugby stars Christian Wade, Max Llewellyn and Jamal Ford-Robinson (pictured above) were set the ultimate cold water challenge to highlight the benefits of cold showers. Research by Mira Showers shows that one in three people benefitted from increased energy after taking freezing showers.

Sunny days: There's been some stunning days in the county this week. On Wednesday people were sunbathing wherever there was green space, such as here outside Gloucester Cathedral.

Football freestyling: Talented football skills star Jay Rosa has been on a mission to performn at every football stadium in the country in support of mental health. On Monday he was at Forest Green, showing off his tricks to the 1,500-strong crowd.

Dogs at polling station: It was the Gloucestershire County Council local elections this week as people voted throughout the day at their local polling stations.
And of course - there were dogs!
