A suspect has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Derby.

Police said they were called to reports of an assault in Mercian Way just before 16:40 BST on Sunday.

A man in his 20s sustained non-life threatening injuries to his legs and groin, officers confirmed.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently in police custody.

Officers said they were keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information.
