Police have named a woman who died six days after a crash in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

Maureen Dunn, 68, was a passenger in a black Audi A4 when it collided with a blue BMW M2 on Clark Street, near its junction with Springwells Avenue, on 28 June.

The 68-year-old, who was from the Airdrie area, was taken to University Hospital Wishaw where she died on Friday.

The driver of the Audi, a 67-year-old man, was taken to University Hospital Monklands and was later discharged.

The occupants of the BMW were assessed by paramedics at the scene.

Police Scotland said it was investigating the circumstances of the collision and urged anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
