Motorcyclist in his 20s dies after hitting bollard

A motorcyclist has died after his Yamaha motorcycle crashed.

The rider, aged in his 20s, reportedly collided with a bollard on Droxford Road, Bournemouth, at about 22:40 BST on Tuesday Dorset Police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The force said the man's next of kin had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers.

Dorset Police said officers were continuing to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

Witnesses or drivers who may have relevant dashcam footage are being urged to come forward.
