A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was shot in a car park in Bradford.

Police said a man in his 20s arrived at hospital with a gunshot wound at about 22:00 BST on Saturday following an argument between several men in the car park on Oak Lane in Manningham.

The man's injuries were described by police as serious, but they were not believed to be life-threatening.

Mohammed Kamal, 24, of Girlington Road, had since been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and was due to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court later, according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.

A 23-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in conection with the incident remained in custody, they added.

A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life and a 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender had both been released on bail, police had previously said.
