A lorry driver has been taken to hospital after his vehicle crashed into a wall.

Officers from Derbyshire Police were called to a stretch of the A628 Woodhead Pass, near Crowden Stretch, just after 01:20 BST on Tuesday.

The driver left the scene before officers arrived, but has since been located and will be "checked over", the force said.

The road was closed for several hours, but National Highways said it was now open in both directions, with one lane shut for resurfacing.
