Mail services to Canada suspended due to strike
Mail services from the Isle of Man to Canada have been suspended due to a mass strike of postal workers in the country.
The walk out by members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in a dispute over pay began in mid-November.
Isle of Man Post Office said it had brought in the temporary suspension after being informed of the industrial action by Post Canada.
People have been warned that any items posted to the country would be returned to the sender.
A spokeswoman for the Post Office said further updates on the situation would be posted the organisation's website.
More than 50,000 Canadian postal workers are calling for a wage increase, in addition to the ability to work weekends for overtime pay, with the action coming ahead of the busy holiday season.
