Attempted murder arrest after car mounted pavement

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two pedestrians were hit by a car when it mounted a pavement.
The white Audi A4 hit the two men, inflicting serious and life-changing injuries to one of them, in Littlebrook Avenue in Slough, Berkshire, at about 12:30 GMT on Wednesday.
A 23-year-old man from London was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He remains in police custody.
The seriously injured man remained in hospital on Thursday morning, while the other man who was hit was taken to hospital with minor injuries and later discharged.
Det Insp Annabelle Palmer, from Thames Valley Police, said the people involved are thought to know each other and that there is no wider risk to the public.
"Extensive enquiries are ongoing into this incident and a scene will remain on for some time, and so if you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to speak to one of our officers at the scene," she said.
