Appeal after jewellery valued at 'thousands' taken

Items valued at "several thousands of pounds" have been stolen from a jewellery shop in north Devon, police have said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the burglary took place at the shop on Boutport Street, in Barnstaple, at about 19:45 BST on Wednesday.
Police said it was believed the burglary was carried out by one male suspect who was seen "fleeing the area" but has not yet been located.
"Gold jewellery worth several thousands of pounds was stolen," police said.
"Officers investigating the incident are looking for anyone with any information around the matter and also want to warn other local businesses that there are stolen goods which may be sold on in the coming days."
