Four people have been rescued after a serious house fire broke out in Worcestershire.

Firefighters were called to the semi-detached home which they said was well alight on King Edward Road, Bromsgrove, at about 10:30 GMT on Friday.

Five fire engines and crews were sent to the scene to tackle the blaze.

All four of those rescued were treated by paramedics, who said their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, West Mercia Police said.

Flames have burnt through the roof and the street has been cordoned off as the blaze is investigated.
