A 3D suspended moon and an exhibition showcasing the work of an award-winning artist have been added to a Wiltshire star-gazing event.

Following Cranborne Chase National Landscape's annual StarFest, Warminster Town Council has organised additional activities to extend the celebrations.

Visitors can see a 4.5m (14.7ft) suspended moon installation inside Minister Church of St Denys until 3 April.

The full event programme includes live music, bell-ringing, children's storytime, and a film night.

Also on display is Josh Drury's award-winning astrophotography exhibition at the Warminster Athenaeum, running until Sunday.

The free exhibition features 20 images, including photos endorsed by NASA.

Warminster Town Council has also launched a free StarQuest town trail until 2 April.

Participants can pick up a trail map from the Civic Centre, Warminster Athenaeum, or Minster Church of St Denys to help them spot 10 constellations hidden in shop windows around the town centre.

Once all the constellations have been found, participants can collect a small prize from the Civic Centre and enter a prize draw to win a telescope.

A spokesperson for Warminster Town Council said: "We are delighted to support Cranborne Chase National Landscape's annual StarFest event.

"We remain committed to organising and supporting fun, free, and educational events for the community while also attracting visitors to our amazing town."
