A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three people were stabbed.

Officers were called to Doncaster Way in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, just before 21:00 GMT on Tuesday, West Midlands Police said.

Two women, aged 18 and 20, were attacked, along with a 25-year-old man.

The 64-year-old suspect, who is believed to know the victims, remained in custody, the force said.

The 20-year-old woman was still in hospital with serious injuries while the other two victims were released from hospital.

Det Insp Tom Lyons said officers remained at the scene on Wednesday to speak to witnesses and examine CCTV footage.
