Police officers were called to an incident at Little Mill Equestrian Centre on Saturday, where a woman died at the scene

A woman has died at an equestrian centre, police have said.

Officers were called to an incident at Little Mill Equestrian Centre, near Carmarthen, on 12 April at about 10:20 BST.

A 25-year-old woman, who has been named locally as Katie Hacche, died at the scene and Dyfed-Powys Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A coroner's report is being prepared and a referral has been made to the local authority health and safety department, the force added.

In a statement on Facebook, the equestrian centre team confirmed the incident occurred at its warm-up arena.

The statement added they were "heartbroken and shocked" by the death of "such a lovely person", who had ridden at the centre "over the years".
