It has been a cold, icy morning for the West. But we were treated to striking red skies this morning across much of the region. There are warnings for ice in place for Bristol and Somerset.

A woman in Swindon who lives in council accommodation says she's been waiting for a hole in her ceiling to be fixed for more than four years, reports the Swindon Advertiser.

A corner shop in Bristol was caught selling stolen wine, reports Bristol Live. The Brislington store has been banned from selling alcohol for three months.

And the Somerset Leveller says a beaver has been spotted on the Avalon Marshes near Glastonbury. The paper believes this is the first one caught on camera on the Somerset Wetlands.

What to watch on social media

There have been delays in recycling collections in parts of Bristol. Bristol Waste has apologised, but states that this week's recycling collection will now not take place.

Bath Rugby has asked for people's opinions on their new stadium design. The team have played at the Recreation Ground since 1894 but want to modernise the stadium and increase the capacity. You can read more about it here.

Bewick's swans have been returning to WWT Slimbridge this winter, and the team there have now recorded 76 coming back to their site from Russia.

And Arsenal Women are asking fans to keep an eye on socials as the kick-off time with Bristol is delayed and the game is pending a pitch inspection.
