Delays expected while key road to south resurfaced

Delays are expected on a key southern route on the Isle of Man for the next seven weeks, the Department of Infrastructure has said.

A 30mph (48km/h) speed limit has been put in place on the New Castletown Road while it is resurfaced.

Temporary traffic light are also in place on the busy route, which links the Manx capital to the south of the island.

It coincides with drainage works on the Old Castletown Road, which also has also seen traffic management put in place.

The department said two way traffic would be maintained during the works on both roads.
