Trapped driver freed from vehicle after crash

The crash happened on Bridge Street in Newent

Firefighters had to cut free a driver after a crash involving a lorry and Land Rover.

Bridge Street in Newent, Gloucestershire, has been closed in both directions following the incident, which happened at about 09:30 GMT.

The lorry driver has now been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Gloucestershire Police said a road closure remains in place as the vehicles await recovery, with slow traffic from Tewkesbury Road to B4216 High Street.
