Double murderer stabbed teen hours before killings

A teenager has admitted stabbing a 17-year-old with a large knife hours before he and several others murdered two boys in Bristol last year.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm, criminal damage and being in possession of an offensive weapon at Bristol Magistrates' Court earlier.
The court heard the 16-year-old stabbed the boy with a 10ins (25cm) long serrated rambo-style knife on 27 January last year - hours before best friends Max Dixon and Mason Rist were killed.
The boy is among five people serving life sentences for murdering Max, 16, and Mason, 15, in Ilminster Avenue, Knowle West.
The defendant also admitted to damaging the victim's car and possessing the knife in a public place in Lake Shore Drive, Hartcliffe.
He appeared by video link and spoke only to confirm his name, date and birth and address.
He will be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on 15 April.
District Judge Lynne Matthews said: "Clearly that has to go to the crown court in light of what else happened on 27 January and your convictions."
She added the defendant will be remanded in custody and he will "likely" receive a custodial sentence.
Max and Mason were chased down and stabbed to death after 23:00 GMT in a case of mistaken identity.

The 16-year-old was convicted of two counts of murder and jailed for life with a minimum term of 18 years and 44 days.
Antony Snook, 45, Riley Tolliver, 18, Kodi-Shai Wescott, 17, and a 15-year-old boy, were also sentenced for their murders.
Bailey Wescott, 23 of Whitchurch, and Jamie Ogbourne, 27 of Hartcliffe, were jailed in December for five years and three months after admitting two counts each of assisting an offender.
