Three men admit manslaughter of 46-year-old

Three men have admitted manslaughter following the death of a 46-year-old man in Lincoln.

Jason Frow, 31, of Frank Swaby Court, Lincoln, Louis Giles, 33, of Blackfriars Court, Lincoln, and Jordan Hartley, 32, of Ash Grove, North Hykeham, all pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing Marc Glasscoe on 16 June this year.

They were due to stand trial at Lincoln Crown Court charged with murder but prosecutors said the pleas to manslaughter were accepted after consulting with Mr Glasscoe's family.

The three men were remanded in custody until sentencing at a later date.

Prosecutor Michael Duck KC said Frow and Giles had entered guilty pleas on the basis that they were present at the scene of the incident in Frank Swaby Court but did not participate in any physical violence towards Mr Glasscoe.

Hartley entered his guilty plea on the basis that he delivered one blow to Mr Glasscoe and threw him to the floor, Mr Duck added.

Lincolnshire Police previously said the force control room received a call from Lincoln County Hospital on the evening of 14 June to report that a man had been brought in with serious injuries to his body and head.

The force said Mr Glasscoe died at 17:10 BST on 16 June.

Judge Simon Hirst said: "All of you know a custodial sentence awaits you, the issue is how long that will be."
