Woman, 24, in hospital after motorbike crash

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a motorbike crash near Chichester, police have said.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a BMW motorbike at the Fishbourne roundabout of the A27 at roughly 16:50 GMT on Saturday.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old man, was left with minor injuries. A 24-year-old woman riding as a passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sussex Police said it believed the motorbike was being ridden as part of a group and asked anyone who saw the incident to contact the force.

A section of the road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the crash. It has since reopened.
