A man accused of causing the death of a three-week-old baby in a crash has appeared in court to plead not guilty.

Craig Nunn, 39, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Monday following the fatal collision, on 26 October on the A451 in Worcestershire.

Speaking via video link, Mr Nunn, of Sandy Lane, Stourport-on-Severn, denied causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He is due to go on trial on 22 April next year, with a pre-trial review scheduled for 25 March.

West Mercia Police previously said a black Ford Focus and a black Suzuki Vitara collided, between Kidderminster and Stourport at about 00:10 GMT.

The infant, who was travelling in the Suzuki, died at the scene.

A man and woman in their twenties travelling in the same vehicle were treated in hospital for injuries.

Mr Nunn was not hurt in the collision, police said.
