Plans for a sports pavilion and playing field in an East Yorkshire village have been submitted.

The single-storey building and multi-use games area would be on land off Catwick Lane in Brandesburton, near Hornsea.

The application, which has been submitted on behalf of Brandesburton Football Club and Brandesburton Social Club, said it would become a "multi-functional community space".

In addition to the pavilion, the plans include provision for 56 parking spaces.

The documents claim the project would create a "community hub" which could offer a range of activities including mother-and-baby groups and social events.

The proposal includes six 8.2m (27ft) tall floodlights with the facility being available for use between 09:00 and 22:00 BST.

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the proposal is a revised version of an application that was granted planning permission by East Riding Council in April 2022.
