Council's first Reform UK member elected

A town council has its first Reform UK councillor after the party's candidate won a by-election by 359 votes.
Tony Harrison secured a place on Rotherham Borough Council by winning 1,160 votes in a by-election for the Keppel ward, with an Independent candidate placing second and Labour third.
The by-election was triggered when former Labour councillor Carole Foster announced she was standing down in May.
Reform UK congratulated Mr Harrison on his win in a post on the party's Facebook page.
Mr Harrison is one of four Reform UK councillors elected across the country in by-elections held on Thursday.
Councillors for the party were also elected in Bassetlaw, Hartlepool and Tewkesbury.
Chris Read, Labour council leader, said he was "really disappointed" by the result, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
