Man dies in two-vehicle crash on A24

A man in his 60s has died in a two-vehicle crash in Surrey which left a major road shut for more than eight hours.

Surrey Police said it was called to reports of an incident on the A24 near Capel, between Kingsfold and Clark's Green, at about 07:00 GMT on Tuesday.

The driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene, police added.

The road was closed in both directions until 15:45 to allow officers time to carry out their initial investigation.
