Police given more time to question murder suspect

Police investigating the death of a man have been given more time to question a suspect.
A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital from a house in Manchester Road, Swindon, early on Wednesday morning, but later died from his injuries.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder by Wiltshire Police. The senior police officer in charge of the case confirmed no one else was being sought in connection with the incident.
Manchester Road was closed for more than 24 hours for investigation work, but has since reopened.
Det Con Insp Phil Walker said a "broad search" of the area had been "significantly scaled back".
"Members of the public will notice ongoing police activity, but the road is now open to traffic," he continued.
He also thanked members of the public living in the area for their "patience and support".
Police have urged a member of the public, who initially alerted police but did not leave his details, to get in touch. Officers also want to speak to anyone with information about the incident and anyone with relevant footage.
