Hundreds of bikers set to join TT 2025 Legacy Lap

Hundreds of bikers are set to join a mass ride-out around the Isle of Man TT course as part of the annual Legacy Lap.

Organisers said the event was an opportunity for those taking part to celebrate and remember friends, as well as road racing competitors and fans.

Riders will line up at the TT pit lane at the Grandstand in Douglas for 09:30 BST on Sunday, ahead of a lap of the 37-mile (60km) Mountain Course.

Under the instruction of the clerk of the course Gary Thompson, bikers will rev their engines to create the "sound of thunder" for one minute to signal the start of the tribute.

A spokeswoman for the Isle of Man TT Races said it was a chance for fans "to be more than just a spectator".

"Whether you're riding in tribute, remembrance, or celebration, the Legacy Lap is an experience that unites everyone who shares a love of the TT," she said.

Riders need to sign on for the event in advance and they are asked to assemble at the grandstand from 08:30.
