There were delays to flights on Monday after the incident

Some flights out of Guernsey have been delayed due to a bird strike, an airline has said.

Flight operator Aurigny said a flight from Guernsey to London Gatwick had to return to the island at about 10:00 GMT on Monday.

A spokesperson for Aurigny apologised for delays to flights and said those affected had been informed of changes.

They added: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
