Man arrested after malicious emails sent to schools

A teenager has been arrested after malicious emails were sent to a number of schools in north and north-east Scotland.
Police said they were made aware on Friday morning that emails had been sent to schools in the Nairn, Auldearn and Inverness areas in the Highlands and Forres area in Moray.
A spokesperson said a 19-year-old man had been arrested.
Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing.
The spokesperson said: "Around 08:20 officers were made aware of a malicious email sent to a number of schools in the Nairn, Auldearn, Forres and Inverness area."
