Murder suspect bailed over woman's death in home

A murder suspect has been released from police custody on conditional bail after a woman died at a residential property.

Officers were called to the death of a 47-year-old on Heron Crescent in Crewe at about 02:00 BST on Sunday.

Cheshire Police said the death was being treated as unexplained and a 53-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The woman's family are being supported by specialist officers, the force added, with people asked to get in touch if they have any information.
