A road has been closed after a lorry overturned and shed its load.

Police were called to the A1139 Fletton Parkway eastbound carriageway at Hampton, Peterborough, close to junction three at about 05:10 GMT.

Social media users reported seeing onions in the area while a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police added that "no injuries have been reported".

Officers handed over the incident to Highways England.

Drivers coming into the area from the A1 were warned to expect "long delays" and traffic is being diverted via slips roads for Hampton roundabout.
