Police search for suspect after sexual assault

Police are looking to identify a suspect after a sexual assault in Teignmouth in October.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident took place outside Teignmouth Library at about 20:15 GMT on 19 October.

The force said the suspect is believed to have approached the victim and sexually assaulted her before she fought him off.

The assailant is described as a white man in his early 30s, about 5ft 8in (1.7m) with short dark hair and short facial hair.

Police added he was carrying a dark backpack and wearing a white puffer coat with dark trousers and white trainers.

People with information or who may have witnessed the incident have been urged to contact the police.
